Elements LVT – your go-to choice for commercial luxury vinyl planks.

What is LVT?

LVT stands for Luxury Vinyl Tile. A product that looks like real wood and stone flooring but provides many more practical benefits. Available in a range of finishes, you can create an authentic looking floor in your home, without the practical drawbacks of natural products.

Do I need an underlay with my LVT Flooring?

Most luxury vinyl tiles do not require underlay. Vinyl floors are designed with a base layer, making the addition of underlay pointless. The only time a vinyl floor may require an underlay is when the surface beneath is uneven or has issues with damp, then you will require specialist advise to the type and cost.

Can I install LVT over floorboards?

You can install LVT over any subfloor with the right preparation. They can also be laid over existing hard floors, such as tiles or wood. It is advisable to check with your professional installer what is required, whether than be 6mm ply or other subfloor preparations for any uneven areas needed.

Is LVT the best option?

For ease of maintenance and comfort, LVT flooring wins hands down. For easy installation and lower labour cost against porcelain or ceramic, LVT is also a clear winner.

Do you glue LVT flooring?

Elements is a glue down LVT and works best with concrete subfloors. Your flooring professional/installer will advise you on which is best adhesives etc for your particular installation.

Does the Elements LVT require beading?

Elements LVT requires NO expansion gap around the perimeter and therefore needs no beading or skirting boards placing on top. Underlay is also not required subject to a reasonably good smooth sub-floor.

What is the difference between vinyl flooring and LVT?

Elements LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tile) flooring offers a tough, high quality floor.... The tiles are more robust than sheet vinyl and can have a much thicker wear layer, so the whole structure is more resistant to dents and scratches and carries a longer wear warranty.

What are the top 5 benefits of LVT?

Durability

LVT flooring is extremely durable and hard-wearing, LVT is much more robust than wood, tile or laminate flooring that can easily become worn due to daily wear and tear.

If you are looking for something hard-wearing Elements LVT have been designed to withstand heavy footfall with a lifetime wear warranty in a domestic environment and can be used in commercial properties with a 15-year wear warranty.

Authentic Design

Another one of the benefits of LVT is that are endless designs to choose from. All are authentic in appearance and give a realistic representation of wood flooring.

The designs are of a high quality and new designs are continually becoming available.

Versatility

LVT is extremely versatile and practical. Its durability, robustness and waterproof properties mean that it can be installed easily into any room in your home. It can withstand the high footfall associated with busy areas like hallways and living spaces. It can be used with underfloor heating and in rooms like conservatories, where temperature constantly changes. As already mentioned, it can be used in bathrooms, utility rooms and kitchens.

Easy To Look After

LVT is extremely low maintenance. It doesn’t require much maintenance or care. All you really need to do is keep it clean. Sweep the floor on a regular basis and then clean with a spray mop to remove any stubborn stains. For more tips about looking after your floor, read our care and maintenance guides.
